And I thought postgrads were supposed to be smart...

Apparently I've lost my mind and decided that going surfing tomorrow is a good idea. Not only do I have to get up at 5:45am so I can get to Victoria train station on time, but the high in Chichester tomorrow is supposed to be about 53 degrees with rain in the morning. Hopefully this experience doesn't turn me off of surfing all together. On the bright side, I'm going with all beginners, so at least we'll be in the same boat.
The place we're going is in West Sussex about an hour and 1/2 train ride southwest of London...just east of Portsmouth and not too far from the Isle of Wight. It's a cathedral city...so if it ends up being too cold to surf for long, we can always wander around and look at churches.

The president of the Surf Club sent out the itinerary:
7.30 – Meet at Victoria train station. Meeting point: outside Starbucks.
8.02 – Train to Chichester
9.34 – Arrive at Chichester. Get bus to Wittering Beach
10 – Arrive at Wittering
11 – 2 – Lesson!
2 – 3 – Lunch
3 – 5 – Second surf session (tbc)
5 - 6 – Dinner, hopefully on the beach if it’s not really cold
6.30 – Bus to Chichester
7.07 – Train from Chichester
8.05 – Arrive at Victoria. Go home.

In other news, I wrote my first essay. It wasn't for an actual grade...just so our tutors can see our writing style and tell us what we are doing wrong. It took me about 18 hours to write 1700 words...and I'm not really sure if it made any sense. I submitted it with 2 hours to spare. Hopefully, it's not completely wrong!

I'll def take my camera to Chichester tomorrow and hopefully get some good pics to post!
